For hundreds of thousands of years, we humans had never heard of a strange thing called obesity.

During the Stone Age, we used our bodies for transportation (fancier word for walking and running). We used them to hunt and scavenge for food. And we never ate white sugar (because it hadn’t been invented yet). Our bodies were slim and well adjusted to the active lifestyle we had back then.

Today, the situation is completely different. Obesity has become a serious and growing problem in the western world – especially in the Unites States. Why is that? And how did we get there?
